About the position

The Syndications Analyst will support the Managed Co-Lending Portfolio Program (MCPP) at IFC, focusing on operational management, relationship management with investors, and the development of reporting tools. This role involves monitoring deal flow, managing investor relationships, and enhancing reporting capabilities to provide insights into loan portfolios. The analyst will also assist in marketing efforts for new investors and support the launch of new MCPP initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Operational management of the MCPP portfolio, including governance of deploying MCPP funding into senior loans.
  • Identifying eligible deals for investors and calculating investor tranche sizes using the MCPP Allocation Model.
  • Supporting relationship management with existing MCPP investors and facilitating communication between investors and investment teams.
  • Providing internal updates on deployment trends and funding availability for countries and sectors.
  • Developing reporting tools for investors and internal audiences, managing large datasets, and leveraging data visualization programs.
  • Liaising with various departments to coordinate disbursements and resolve operational issues.
  • Supporting the MCPP team in developing marketing materials for prospective investors and preparing training for Syndications Officers.

Requirements

  • M.B.A. or Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years of analytical and project management experience, or an undergraduate degree with at least 4 years of relevant market experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debt financing, pricing, and cash flow analysis.
  • Proven experience in IT projects for reports automation and creating high-quality presentations.
  • General understanding of IFC's Loan Syndications processes and Investment Project lifecycle.
  • Advanced MS Excel and financial modeling skills, with experience in handling large datasets and performing detailed analyses.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with IFC's IT and loan operations systems.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • VBA macro programming and other programming skills.
