The Syrup Station Operator operates, by aid of automatic controls, the complete syrup station to include inverters, flash evaporator, heaters, pumps, filters, slurry tanks, contact tanks, and other related equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the syrup production process, which is a key component of the sugar refining process. The operator will be responsible for adding chemicals and other manufacturing supplies to the process as required or directed, obtaining and carrying samples and containers to and from designated areas, and transporting desired chemicals and manufacturing supplies to and from the syrup station as required. The operator will also be required to maintain records as directed and check, with appropriate equipment, PH, brix, sediment, and other specifications of syrups as required or directed. Cleaning the work area and syrup station, including equipment and tanks, is also a critical part of the job. All tasks must be performed in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standards.
