About the position

The System Administrator 3 (Infrastructure Automation/Maintenance) role at Auria involves supporting the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The position is based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, and focuses on maintaining a hyper-converged infrastructure while working with various operating systems and developmental toolsets. The candidate will be part of the Global Infrastructure team and will contribute to the planning and execution of projects related to infrastructure automation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and sustaining a hyper-converged infrastructure.
  • Plan and schedule multiple groups for the construction of labs and equipment, including rack, space, and power.
  • Add engineering rigor to processes for Network Engineers, System Admins, and cyber support for projects and milestones.
  • Work with Configuration Management (CM) to ensure all processes are met and captured.
  • Understand System Administration roles in a customer-prem cloud environment.
  • Support cloud-based solutions and implementations in collaboration with Network Engineering roles.
  • Participate in Agile Software Development organizations using the SAFe framework.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance within the last 5 years is required to start.
  • 6 years' experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field; 4 years' experience with a master's degree; or 10 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
  • Experience hosting and sustaining hyper-converged infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience building project plans and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support the software development lifecycle.
  • Linux experience using RHEL administration, including networking and protocols.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and shell scripting tools.
  • Experience automating the buildout of VMs using Nutanix and VMWare.
  • 1+ year of experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or similar tools.
