About the position

The Systems Administrator at Syneren Technologies Corporation will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing Azure cloud solutions for DOD contracts. This role involves managing virtual machines, storage accounts, and ensuring the security and performance of the Azure infrastructure. The position requires a strong understanding of networking concepts and the ability to automate tasks to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Azure cloud solutions, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and virtual networks
• Maintain, track and renewal of DOD SSL certificates
• Create Azure Storage reports
• Produce STIG checklist on a quarterly basis
• Install windows & 3rd party software updates and remediate security vulnerabilities
• Create VMs snapshots and troubleshoot VMs issues
• Monitor Azure infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system operation and availability
• Automate routine tasks and processes using Azure Automation, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to improve operational efficiency
• Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for system enhancements or optimizations

Requirements

• 2 years of proven experience as a Windows Server System Administrator in the US Federal Government, preferably with a focus on Azure cloud technologies
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of Azure services and solutions, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking
• US Citizenship required (Please do not apply if no US Citizenship)
• Active Secret Clearance
• IAT II Certifications IAW DoD (For DoD IAT Level 2, the two required certs are as follows: CompTIA Security+ or SSCP)
