About the position

The System Administrator / Desktop Support role involves providing technical support and assistance to customers, focusing on troubleshooting, software installations, and equipment management. The position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users. The role also includes responsibilities related to asset management, documentation, and collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot customer issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Install software following security and internal processes.
  • Image or provision new equipment hardware for customers.
  • Document work activities in ServiceNow.
  • Support customers using excellent customer service skills.
  • Utilize knowledge of Windows OS & M365 to assist customers.
  • Track onboarding and shipping activities based on customer requests.
  • Follow asset management processes for proper customer billing.
  • Test Intune processes for Tier 3 team and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on technical issues.
  • Assist with developing team processes and a knowledge base.
  • Work with vendors on warranty cases.
  • Test upgrades and software changes.
  • Provide instruction while troubleshooting for remote customers.
  • Maintain equipment inventories and perform PC maintenance.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in desktop support and customer service.
  • Moderate knowledge and demonstrable skills in Windows OS & M365.
  • Basic understanding of MECM, Active Directory, Tanium, Intune, and Beyond Trust.
  • Basic knowledge of Macintosh Apple devices with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills to track onboarding and shipping activities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with imaging and provisioning new hardware.
  • Familiarity with asset management processes.
  • Experience in testing software upgrades and changes.
