The position involves providing comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems. The individual will manage the IT system infrastructure and oversee all processes related to these systems. This includes supporting IT systems through day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for various devices such as client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. The role encompasses providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, which involves identifying, diagnosing, and resolving problems effectively. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for communicating status updates to agency management and internal customers, ensuring that all issues are escalated appropriately and resolved in a timely manner. The candidate will configure and manage UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, including the installation and loading of operating system software. Troubleshooting and implementing enhancements to improve system reliability and performance will also be key responsibilities. The role requires performing account management tasks, such as establishing, activating, modifying, disabling, and removing user accounts. Furthermore, the individual will ensure compliance with applicable system security controls through configuration management and will conduct periodic vulnerability scans of systems. The implementation of IAVA security patches and maintaining accurate records of patch status will be essential to the role. The candidate will also optimize system operations and resource utilization while performing system capacity analysis and planning to ensure efficient IT system performance.
