About the position

The System Administrator position at IBC Bank involves upgrading, maintaining, and providing support for software, hardware, and operating systems within the bank's information systems. The role requires quick diagnosis and resolution of system issues, including support outside normal business hours, and effective communication of technical concerns to various stakeholders. The System Administrator will collaborate with Engineers and Tier II Administrators to ensure the reliability and performance of the bank's system infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, and prioritizing issues.
  • Provide user identity and access management, server administration, and application administration for end users for MS Windows, MS Exchange, O365, and various software applications.
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Provide escalation support for Service Desk helpdesk efforts and desktop support for PC tech, ensuring timely resolution of desktop applications and workstation issues.
  • Communicate technical concerns and solutions effectively to peers, end users, and management with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
  • Monitor and maintain system infrastructure including server operating systems, Active Directory, data center equipment, and data backups.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in IT related field or 5 years of experience in Systems Administration.
  • 5 years of IT related experience with 3 years of system administration experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and Desktop Windows 7/10.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory/Azure Active Directory and Office365 Administration.
  • Ability to interpret system logs and alerts, and modify scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VM-Ware, Citrix, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
  • Knowledge of data backup concepts and MS Exchange Online.

Nice-to-haves

  • A+, Net+, MCP certifications are preferred.
  • Flexibility to work after hours/weekends for projects, maintenance, and on-call support.
