About the position

The System Administrator I is responsible for supporting and maintaining servers, PCs, peripherals, and the software necessary for their operation. This role involves gathering IT requirements for new branches and ensuring effective communication between IT and departmental contacts.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures and supports all departmental servers, PCs, peripherals and software applications.
• Troubleshoots application, server and PC performance issues.
• Recommends upgrades, patches for applications and equipment and new software applications.
• Provides technical support and guidance to users.
• Works with the Facilities Department for the IT requirements for new branches, decommissions and relocations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related area of study preferred.
• 2 or more years of experience in the field.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within an Information Technology related field.
• Ability to travel between multiple locations with reliable transportation.
• Availability for after hours on-call support rotation and 24x7 technical support as required.
