About the position

The System Administrator I at First Financial Bank N.A. is responsible for providing first and second line technical support to internal staff. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving a range of technical issues, ensuring software applications are functional, and acting as a liaison between the development and technology teams. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to analyze and implement software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and on-site software installation services to ensure software applications are fully functional.
  • Assist customers with the use and functionality of applications.
  • Communicate customer needs and expectations to appropriate personnel.
  • Notify personnel of any application issues that arise.
  • Analyze transaction processing as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between the development team and technology team.
  • Serve as a Subject-Matter Expert and provide technical support for system implementations and capabilities.
  • Identify software functionality and verify configuration parameters.
  • Test, implement, and evaluate new or existing software/applications.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for software updates and new software introductions.
  • Learn quickly and maintain attention to detail while communicating effectively.
  • Proactively initiate positive change and make independent decisions.
  • Analyze information skillfully and develop rational solutions to problems.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer systems.
  • Desire and ability to self-manage and learn diverse software applications.
  • Detail-oriented and logical thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Capable of solving intermediate technical problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in systems analysis and project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Office suite and overall PC operation.
  • Experience in client software installation.
  • Experience in banking or accounting software systems, specifically Jack Henry Core.
