About the position

The System Administrator II position is a critical role within the Information Systems department, responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, optimization, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, as well as related infrastructure. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and availability of all computing resources, including storage, applications, and key processes. The System Administrator will conduct system monitoring, review system and application logs, and manage scheduled jobs such as backups to ensure seamless operations. In addition to these responsibilities, the System Administrator will support project teams in executing, testing, and rolling out new solutions, providing second and third-level support to both internal and external partners. The role also requires the individual to perform as a Help Desk Technician when necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to service excellence. Given the nature of the role, the System Administrator must be available 24/7, including weekends, on-call, and holiday availability, to address any urgent system issues that may arise. This position requires a full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission and Vision of Blessing Corporate Services, adhering to ICARE standards and the Code of Conduct. The System Administrator II is expected to contribute positively to the organizational culture and uphold the values of the company in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provision, install, configure, operate, optimize, and maintain systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
  • Perform system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all compute, storage, applications, and key processes.
  • Review system and application logs to identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage scheduled jobs such as backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Support project teams in executing, testing, and rolling out new solutions.
  • Provide second and third-level support to internal and external partners.
  • Act as a Help Desk Technician as needed, addressing user issues and inquiries.
  • Maintain 24/7 availability, including weekends, on-call, and holiday availability.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of related experience as a Systems Administrator II.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification (preferred).
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification (preferred).
  • Citrix Certification (CCE-V, CCP-V, CCA-V) (preferred).
  • VMWare Certification (VCP, VCAP, VCIX, VCDX) (preferred).
