Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator II to join our team in the DMV area. As a System Administrator II, you will support the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. Your responsibilities will include supporting upgrades to computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes. You will also troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing their impact. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure, as well as regular backup operations and implementing processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. In this role, you will support desktop and helpdesk efforts, ensuring that all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with minimal disruptions. You will also support Kubernetes system administration in a DevOps CI/CD environment, configuring Kubernetes auto-provisioning and auto-scaling of CI/CD job/build agents/runners/nodes, and assisting in designing and implementing clusters, cluster segmentation, and internal/external networking for the four CI/CD deployment environments: development, test, staging, and production. Furthermore, you will support capacity, storage planning, and database performance, monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT, Business, Engineering, Math, Science, or related field.
  • Two or more (2+) years of related experience.
  • Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
  • If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required.
  • If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, or VMWare.
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt or Puppet.
