About the position

The System Administrator III at Excentium, Inc. is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers, supporting government customers in San Antonio, TX. This role involves installing hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the security and integrity of infrastructure platforms. The position requires active participation in research and development to meet the evolving IT needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, sustain, and troubleshoot new or existing server operating systems and related infrastructure software and hardware.
• Administer day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security, and availability of infrastructure platforms.
• Perform daily system backups, performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintain security posture of infrastructure systems.
• Create standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles for operational upkeep of infrastructure platforms.
• Perform infrastructure platform maintenance upgrades to ensure proper security and operational posture is maintained.
• Assist architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations, and testing of infrastructure hardware and software products.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in similar roles.
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
• One of the following IAT Level II Certifications: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
• One of the following CE certifications: CompTIA A+ CE Certification, CompTIA Security+ CE Certification, CompTIA Network+ CE Certification.
