About the position

The System Administrator position in Cleveland, Ohio, is a direct-hire role focused on supporting the integration of new clients and providing network and hardware support within a medium to large enterprise environment. The role requires established experience in various technologies including Active Directory, VMware, and Exchange, and involves managing Intel environments and ensuring best practices are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration of new clients into the network.
  • Provide hardware and network support.
  • Standardize Intel environment best practices including Domain Controllers, DHCP, and print services.
  • Manage vSphere Enterprise level environments (ESX4.x/5.x).
  • Perform HW firmware updates and manage Cisco Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Subnets, Wireless).
  • Administer multiple Windows servers and domains (2003/2008R2/2012).
  • Conduct WSUS patch management for firmware and software.
  • Manage Windows SQL and Remote Desktop Services.
  • Administer Active Directory and DNS with Microsoft SCCM, WDS, MDT, ACT.
  • Utilize Remote Administrator and AD Manager tools.
  • Implement various end-point protection tools (Symantec, Sophos).
  • Provide desktop support for Windows XP Pro and Windows 7/8 environments.
  • Manage SAN Storage knowledge, preferably on IBM, Dell & EMC environments.
  • Oversee patch management software experience (Lumension, SCCM, Dell KACE).
  • Patching various Java versions and Adobe Flash/Reader.

Requirements

  • Experience in standardizing Intel environment best practices.
  • Knowledge of vSphere Enterprise level environments (ESX4.x/5.x).
  • Familiarity with Dell Openmanage or comparable x86 Infrastructure Management Console software.
  • Cisco Networking knowledge including TCP/IP and Subnets.
  • Experience with HW firmware updates.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple Windows 2003/2008R2/2012 servers and domains.
  • Experience with WSUS patch management.
  • Knowledge of Windows SQL and Remote Desktop Services.
