About the position

Parsons is seeking a talented System Administrator to support the Life Cycle Contractor Support for the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Capability Instrumentation System (JPMRC-IS) program under the Army TADSS Maintenance Program (ATMP) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the JPMRC-IS computer systems are fully operational and available for scheduled support missions. You will work independently in systems engineering and on-site integration/operation, providing critical support to the program's exercises and events. Your primary responsibilities will include providing information system analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. You will install software, conduct end-to-end operational testing of information systems, and configure interfaces to systems. Additionally, you will provide subject matter expertise to modify and enhance JPMRC-IS operations, translating mission requirements into effective solutions. As a System Administrator, you will also be tasked with installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all information system components, including workstations and server-class systems. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the systems you manage, contributing to the overall success of the JPMRC-IS program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information system analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications to support JPMRC exercises and events.
  • Ensure the JPMRC-IS computer systems are fully operational and available for scheduled support missions.
  • Work independently in systems engineering and on-site integration/operation.
  • Install software and conduct information system end-to-end operational testing.
  • Install and configure interfaces to systems, providing subject matter expertise to modify and enhance JPMRC-IS operations.
  • Assist in translating mission requirements and information into solutions using the information system.
  • Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all information system components, including workstations and server-class systems.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in a computer science or systems engineering discipline from an accredited institution, or 3 years of documented experience in an IT or simulations related field.
  • Must possess an Information Assurance Technical I (IAT I) baseline certificate in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (e.g., CCNA-Security, A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP).
  • 5 years of IT background, network architecture design and implementation (i.e., Windows or Linux OS experience, Servers or Networking Experience).
  • Must achieve computing environment (CE) certification (e.g. Server 2012, Win10, VMware, etc.) within 6 months of employment in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Must possess a US Secret Security clearance.
  • Able to obtain US passport.
  • 5 years' experience troubleshooting and maintaining server platforms and network devices.
  • 3 years' experience with simulation networks and services/systems.
  • Experience in Simulation or Army Mission Command Systems preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license and Post driving privileges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Assist Information Assurance managers with maintaining Risk Management Framework compliance.
  • Provide input and support to the creation of training related products, along with AAR activities.
  • Support equipment/facility setup and recovery operations at JPMRC rotations.
