About the position

The System Administrator Level IV will manage the daily activities of configuration and operations of business systems that may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. This role optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. The administrator will provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities of configuration and operations of business systems.
  • Optimize system operation and resource utilization.
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Assist users in accessing and using business systems.
  • Administer Windows client server including OS configuration, file sharing, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
  • Administer various Linux operating systems (CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Grant permissions and manage group policy.
  • Respond to trouble tickets.
  • Coordinate, deliver, install, and maintain end user devices (EUDs) hardware and software.
  • Implement ongoing system security compliance measures including patches and system updates.
  • Manage VMware vSphere (vCenter/ESXi) and Horizon View (VDI Desktops).
  • Manage NetApp (NFS, CFIS) and Dell EqualLogic (ISCSI).

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in Windows client server and OS configuration.
  • Experience with administration of various Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere and Horizon View.
  • Expert knowledge in managing NetApp and Dell EqualLogic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Recent System Administration experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Practical experience in implementing and maintaining virtualization (VDI Desktops).
  • Skills with Telecommunication (TCP/IP, OIS/CMIP/X25), operating systems (Windows, UNIX, LINUX), NetApp-VMWare, database/DBMD (oracle, access, sybase) and applications (Tivolli, Peoplesoft).
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
