As a Systems Administrator at our Panama City Beach, FL location, you will play a crucial role in supporting advanced Navy technology that is essential for modern-day warfighters. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and troubleshooting Navy systems, with a strong emphasis on LINUX environments. You will be tasked with performing system maintenance activities such as diagnostics, patching, scanning, and configuration on LINUX systems. Additionally, you will assist with data cabling, data labeling, and lab hardware installations, ensuring that all systems are operational and efficient. In this role, you will also be responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues related to LINUX systems. This will involve reporting your findings and collaborating with team members to implement effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT/IS systems within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment, with a minimum of 5 years of experience and a Secret security clearance. Your expertise in LINUX administration will be critical, as will your ability to troubleshoot complex issues in Active Directory environments. A deep understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and various protocols, is essential for success in this position. You will also need to demonstrate proficiency in Powershell and Python scripting, as well as experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server administration (2008+). Familiarity with server hardware, installation, repair, and maintenance will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.
