About the position

BlueHalo is seeking passionate Systems Administrators at various levels (Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior) to maintain and enhance its IT infrastructure. The role is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and security of systems, contributing to the company's mission of innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support local and wide area networks, systems, and applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the security of the network and data.
• Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam.
• For Mid-Level and Senior roles: Design and implement new system structures, lead projects, mentor junior staff, and develop strategic plans for future IT developments.

Requirements

• Junior Systems Administrator: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Up to 2 years of experience in systems administration. Knowledge of network configuration, security principles, and operating systems.
• Mid-Level Systems Administrator: 3-5 years of systems administration experience. Proven ability to manage medium to large-scale server environments. Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with cloud services.
• Senior Systems Administrator: 6+ years of experience. Advanced knowledge in system architecture, networking, and security. Leadership experience and the ability to drive IT strategy and improvements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Windows, Linux, and/or Unix environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
