About the position

The System Administrator position at Galapagos Federal Systems LLC involves supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) within Special Access Programs (SAPs). The role requires a highly experienced individual to manage and maintain IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance. The position offers the opportunity to work with a talented team dedicated to delivering quality IT solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain network and standalone servers, workstations, and network access.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum performance.
  • Prepare systems for operational use and support operational tests.
  • Identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
  • Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.
  • Perform Video Teleconference (VTC) System administration, scheduling, and configuration.
  • Provide network direct client support and account management.
  • Provide multi-level Help Desk support and troubleshooting for hardware and software.
  • Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Provide desktop and laptop configuration and support.
  • Perform Communication Security (COMSEC) custodian duties for classified IT admin systems.
  • Provide independent assessments of the Air Force and U.S. Space Force IT posture.
  • Initiate, supervise, and develop project requirements from inception to conclusion.
  • Provide strategic advice and technical guidance to test range program and staff.
  • Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Configure, operate, monitor, secure, and sustain all internal network devices.
  • Maintain rack space assigned to the equipment and ensure connectivity to the LAN.
  • Install, remove, relocate, and maintain existing cable infrastructure.
  • Provide internal hardware and software accountability support to the logistics section.
  • Assemble, install, disassemble, uninstall, and move IT and electronic equipment.

Requirements

  • Hold and maintain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) DoD clearance.
  • Eligible to obtain Special Access Program (SAP).
  • 10+ years' experience with DoD work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant job experience.
