About the position

The System Administrator position at BAE Systems involves supporting the Information Services team at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The role is crucial for maintaining IT infrastructure and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense directives. The selected candidate will engage in various technical tasks, including managing storage networks and hypervisors, conducting training, and enhancing software support services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain storage connected to a Storage Area Network (SAN)
• Knowledge of block-level protocols, specifically iSCSI
• Maintain Hypervisors using VMware
• Conduct training for all departments for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training
• Assist with root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications
• Assist with development of recommendations for enhancing approaches for software support services
• Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
• Update work instruction documentation and standard operating procedures
• Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins.

Requirements

• Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN)

• Familiarity with DoD directives and guidelines
