About the position

The Systems Administrator position at Tuvli involves managing and upgrading VMware vSphere and vSAN environments, administering Dell PowerEdge servers, and overseeing Active Directory and Group Policy. The role requires a strong understanding of enterprise server systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment. The position is crucial for ensuring the performance and reliability of IT systems that support federal projects and the company's mission to serve Alaska Native communities.

Responsibilities

• Administration/upgrade of VMware vSphere and vSAN, including ESXi hosts.
• Monitor utilization and performance of VMs across several sites.
• Administration/repair of Dell PowerEdge servers, monitoring for failed hardware and coordinating replacements.
• Administration of enterprise-wide Active Directory and Group Policy, including managing domain controllers and GPOs.
• Troubleshoot group policy issues and conflicts.
• Upgrade Windows Server 2012R2 to Windows Server 2019/2022, coordinating with teams for minimal downtime.
• Execute PowerShell scripts for migration tasks.
• Administration of Symantec EndPoint Protection Manager, including updates and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a WAN/LAN environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair enterprise server/workstation systems and Microsoft Windows domain environments.
• Understanding of VMware vSphere, Dell PowerEdge servers, and Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policy.
• Technical certification is a plus.
• Degree in computer science or a related discipline is preferred.
