ECS is seeking a skilled System Administrator to work in our Macon, GA office. This position is contingent upon contract award. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing and configuring hardware and software, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues. The role requires a solid understanding of core infrastructure services and functions, including virtualization (VMWare), DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, as well as knowledge of key Azure cloud services, is essential. The System Administrator will be responsible for administering Windows Server in an enterprise environment, deploying services in Microsoft Azure and VMware environments, and leading successful deployments of enterprise-class solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with a team-focused attitude and the ability to produce technical documents and engineering diagrams. The candidate should have a demonstrable history of leading successful deployments and be skilled at producing technical documentation. In addition to the required skills, the System Administrator will be expected to install new hardware and software, ensuring all components interface correctly with each other and the network. They will configure and maintain back-end infrastructure systems such as VMware, ESX, NetApp, and Server Enclosures, ensuring systems are up-to-date and patched. The role also involves deploying and maintaining Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems for certificate management and administering data storage for multiple NetApp storage systems, ensuring data availability, protection, and capacity planning across multiple SANs. The candidate will also be responsible for deploying and maintaining Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platforms, including Azure Virtual Desktop, designing and implementing secure DNS solutions, and supporting multiple VMware vSphere and NSX environments. Operating systems within VMware and Azure cloud environments, designing and maintaining Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) configurations, and engineering upgrades and enhancements involving all IT infrastructure are also key responsibilities.
