About the position

The Information System Administrator position at ManTech involves providing critical support for a newly awarded mission IT program. The role focuses on systems administration, including managing virtual environments, hardware and software support, and scripting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems administration, particularly with Linux, and will be responsible for integrating new technologies into existing production environments while ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage virtual environments (VMWare ESX, VCenter Administration).
• Administer hardware and software to support the development and testing of IT systems.
• Administer Linux systems.
• Configure and maintain storage and file systems (NFS, EXT3/4, XFS).
• Write scripts in Bash, Shell, Python, and Perl.
• Develop and deliver briefings, technical presentations, and program documentation to senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in systems administration of hardware and software.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in Linux administration.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in writing scripts (Bash, Shell, Python, Perl).
• Proficiency with network devices including routers, switches, gateways, and hubs.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience with computer networking protocols (TCP, IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience working with a team to integrate new technologies into production environments.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience with integrated processing environments such as Storage Area Networks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, SALT, Puppet.
• Experience with cross-domain solutions or Nifi.
