About the position

The Software Engineer position at Lockheed Martin Space involves maintaining operations of multi-user computer systems and networks, performing system administration tasks, and supporting special projects. Responsibilities

• Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems and networks.
• Perform system administration and network tasks within the scope of the contract.
• Monitor and correct system performance issues, including system patching and operating system software.
• Deploy software/hardware deliveries and support special projects.
• Assist operational crews and contractor teams to resolve system issues.
• Record problem statements and create appropriate reports.
• Assist the test team with system integration and testing.
• Support the Information Assurance (IA) team with account management and system vulnerability management.

Requirements

• DOD8570 certified - Sec+, CISSP
• Experience with Unix
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
• Must be able to work in a production/operational environment
• Active Secret Clearance required prior to start
• Ability to lift 50lbs

• Experience with crypto devices (KG-175 or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members
