Our client's dedicated healthcare team is seeking a talented System Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance and security of our IT infrastructure, with a focus on Google Workspace management, Jira administration, system security, and more. As a System Administrator, you will oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Google Workspace applications such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Docs. You will manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and settings within the Google Admin Console, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Google Workspace services, and implement best practices for data security, compliance, and backup within Google Workspace. In addition, you will administer Atlassian Jira software, including user management, project configuration, workflow customization, and plugin integration. Collaborating with teams to optimize Jira workflows, boards, and issue tracking processes will be essential. You will also provide user support, training, and documentation for Jira users while monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues related to Jira service availability and performance. Your responsibilities will extend to managing and maintaining various systems including servers, databases, and networking infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, and updating operating systems and software applications, monitoring system performance, resource utilization, and security posture, and implementing and maintaining system backups, disaster recovery plans, and high availability solutions. Security management is a critical aspect of this role. You will implement security policies, procedures, and controls to protect systems and data, conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks, and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Staying current with emerging threats, security technologies, and best practices is essential. You will also have demonstrated experience working within or closely with Apple's Information Security teams, with in-depth knowledge of Apple's security protocols, standards, and best practices. Furthermore, you will configure and manage Single Sign-On solutions such as SAML, OAuth, or OpenID Connect, integrating applications and services with SSO for seamless user authentication and access management. Troubleshooting SSO authentication and authorization issues will also be part of your responsibilities. Lastly, you will plan and execute penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications, documenting and reporting findings, including recommendations for remediation. Working with development and IT teams to prioritize and address security vulnerabilities will be crucial, as will continuously improving penetration testing methodologies and tools to enhance security posture.
