About the position

The System Administrator role at Thornburg involves managing software and patch deployments, ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Manage software and patch deployments using MECM or similar tools.
• Oversee Active Directory GPO, DNS, DHCP, and VMware vSphere environments.
• Support Microsoft Exchange Online, On-prem, and M365 applications.
• Implement and manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
• Provide support in a SaaS environment, including SSO and MFA implementations.
• Maintain current knowledge of Active Directory and DNS operations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communication to users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Work after-hours for emergency support and scheduled maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and relevant certifications may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience managing software and patch deployments.
• Experience with MECM, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Exchange Online, On-prem, and M365.
• Technical knowledge of data centers, virtual infrastructure, network, hardware, storage, operating systems, and server administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager for patching and software deployment.
• Background in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure management.
• Experience in SaaS environment support, including SSO and MFA.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
