About the position

The System Administrator at InterImage, Inc. is responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. This senior-level role involves managing IT system infrastructure, providing support for day-to-day operations, and ensuring the reliability and performance of various client/server/storage/network devices. The position requires significant experience in managing virtual machines and associated technologies, with a strong emphasis on documentation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
• Install/load operating system software and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain integrity and configure network components.
• Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Manage hundreds of VM/Instances running Linux using Ansible plays in YAML.
• Document processes and issues clearly and concisely.
• Stand-up and manage machines running Docker, Kubernetes, and associated dependencies.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years' experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ansible, OpenStack, Terraform, C2S/AWS.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to perfecting craft.
