About the position

LinTech Global is seeking a System Administrator to provide comprehensive Information Technology (IT) Systems Support Services for our contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Compliance and Enforcement Assurance. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and security of IT infrastructure, which includes configuring new user accounts, managing file servers, and monitoring network performance. The System Administrator will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, ensuring adherence to security protocols, and maintaining the integrity of the local area network (LAN). The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to users with varying levels of expertise. In this position, you will configure new users' accounts and provide them with intranet access, manage and maintain file servers, and monitor the firewall while configuring software, hardware, and networks. You will also be tasked with monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms is essential, as is the ability to create scripts in languages such as Python or Perl. A background in information technology projects, particularly those focused on federal or state environmental statutes and enforcement policies, is preferred but not mandatory. The successful candidate must be clearable and able to pass a background investigation to obtain a federal security clearance. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other languages
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field
  • Clearable to pass a background investigation for federal security clearance
