About the position

The Server Administrator role at a rapidly growing nursing education organization involves maintaining internal application servers and setting up new server systems. The position requires developing hardware and software specifications, configuring server systems, and ensuring efficient network operations. The Server Admin will also be responsible for troubleshooting, patching, and supporting server resources and telecommunications networks, while traveling approximately 20% of the time to assist with installations at new facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal application servers and set up new server systems.
• Develop hardware and software specifications for server systems.
• Order and configure server systems as the organization expands.
• Design, upgrade, install, troubleshoot, and patch hardware and software devices.
• Provide efficient network operations, administration, and management of server resources.
• Support data and telecommunications networks, services, and infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Linux/Redhat experience.
• 3+ years of VMware/VCenter/Virtualization experience.
• Strong experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience scripting in PowerShell.
• SQL Server database administration skills.
• Microsoft Windows Server experience.
• Cisco networking certifications.
