About the position

The Systems Administrator role at SecuriGence involves delivering essential technology services to support national security and economic interests. The position requires an experienced professional to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of government operations through innovative solutions and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Images, builds, and deploys workstations and servers.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Analyzes requirements for deployment of new desktop applications, creating deployment plans and automation processes.
  • Sets up administrator and service accounts.
  • Maintains system documentation.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Oversees implementation of testing strategies and documentation of results.
  • Provides advice and training to end-users and help desk personnel.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Proactively identifies issues and resolves them, making suggestions for improvements to the environment.
  • Troubleshoots issues to resolution, prioritizing customer-impacting issues.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience with installing, configuring, and supporting Windows-based applications on Windows 7, 8, and 10 desktop systems, both virtual and physical.
  • Extensive knowledge of server and PC hardware and software maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience managing Windows Active Directory Services.
  • Demonstrated experience with SCCM and Group Policy Management, including creation of policies, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Desktop image creation and validation using System Center Configuration Manager.
  • Maintaining updated drive packs for various hardware vendors including Dell and HP.
  • Hands-on experience supporting additional Microsoft products (Office, Project, etc.).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in utilization of Remedy.
  • Familiar with antivirus and security software (HBSS) and troubleshooting services affected by these software applications.
  • Proficient with TCP/IP network protocol and basic understanding of networking components.
  • Demonstrated experience with applying STIGs to systems, applications, and components.

Nice-to-haves

  • Self-starter with the ability to work tasks with little supervision or assistance.
  • Experience administrating Hyper-V and clustered services.
