About the position

The Systems Analyst 2 position is a full-time remote role focused on managing database systems, particularly in the healthcare sector. The analyst will oversee data migration, utilize database scripting, and conduct business analysis to enhance system functionality. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams while applying industry knowledge and architectural expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage database systems and oversee data migration, focusing on healthcare EHR systems, especially Cerner Millennium.
• Utilize Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar database scripting for data migration to new SaaS platforms.
• Review, analyze, and evaluate user requirements and operational procedures to identify solutions for process automation or system enhancement.
• Document business process flows and standardize process improvements through data collection and meetings with subject matter experts.
• Prepare specifications for data input/output processes.
• Resolve complex data-related issues using analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
• Produce clear project documentation and engage effectively with stakeholders through exceptional communication skills.
• Support diverse teams and inspire high productivity and collaboration among team members.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights strategically within the organization.
• Utilize architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structure.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience in database management systems and data migration, with a strong emphasis on healthcare EHR systems, particularly Cerner Millennium.
• 7 years of experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar database scripting for efficient data migration to new SaaS platforms.
• 7 years of business analysis experience, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements and operational procedures.
• 7 years of experience documenting business process flows and standardizing process improvements through data collection and meetings with subject matter experts.
• 7 years of experience preparing specifications for data input/output processes.
• 7 years of experience resolving complex data-related issues using analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
• 7 years of exceptional oral and written communication skills for producing clear project documentation and engaging with stakeholders.
• 7 years of strong interpersonal abilities to support diverse teams and inspire high productivity and collaboration.
• 7 years of in-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, applying them strategically within the organization.
• 7 years of experience with architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structure.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of prior experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
• 2 years of experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
• 2 years of familiarity with existing and planned software technology and software architecture and infrastructure components.
• 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data.
