About the position

The Systems Analyst at Blanchard Valley Health System is responsible for analyzing and evaluating business systems and user needs within the healthcare sector. This role involves providing application support, implementation, testing, reporting, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient operations and user satisfaction. The analyst will also maintain documentation, interface with end users, and participate in project management for large initiatives, ensuring that technical requirements are met and new technologies are integrated effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update documentation and knowledge base articles for job duties and responsibilities.
  • Interface with end users to resolve problems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings to provide status updates and outline areas of deficiencies.
  • Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology and participate in technology forums.
  • Utilize change management processes for all system changes.
  • Work with vendors to resolve issues and determine functionality requirements.
  • Monitor application road maps for updates and patching.
  • Act as a resource for projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Manage large projects, including creating documentation and managing resources and deadlines.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business Owner and Technical project team to ensure requirements are understood and accomplished.
  • Participate in technical testing and training for new or changing applications.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years' experience in the field or a related area.
  • 2+ years hands-on report writing or programming experience.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with report writing or programming.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and client-server concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Proven work ethic, team and customer service orientation.
  • Dependable and prompt.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to be on call.
  • Knowledge of financial and/or administrative applications and/or clinical applications.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of financial and/or administrative documentation and workflow.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage effective meetings with agendas and minutes.
  • Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
