About the position

The Systems Analyst II at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting various application solutions, particularly in areas such as work order management, asset management, and project management. This position involves application administration, support, and development, ensuring that systems operate effectively and meet the needs of all 12 Reserve Banks. The analyst will also engage in technical writing, project management, and inter-departmental communication to facilitate smooth operations and upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain application solutions for work order management, asset management, project/product management, and more.
  • Administer application security, including user profile management and access coordination.
  • Support application maintenance, including software integrity and user training.
  • Communicate with business owners and IT staff regarding database support and upgrades.
  • Create customized training manuals and technical documentation for applications.
  • Oversee system upgrades and design changes, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service agreements.
  • Develop and implement application customizations and software updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems or equivalent.
  • 5 years of system analyst experience.
  • Technical acumen with understanding of AWS Platform and Operation Services.
  • General awareness of web applications and programming languages (Java and Python).
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL for query creation and automation.
  • Understanding of logging, monitoring, and alerting for web applications and cloud.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL concepts.
  • Capacity to work autonomously with quick thinking and decision-making ability.
  • Proficient in systems analysis and technical writing skills.
  • Understanding of cloud software architecture and Agile methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with application hot fix testing and implementation.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems.
  • Experience in project/product management.
