About the position

The Systems Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting various application solutions related to work order management, asset management, project/product management, and more. This position involves collaboration with multiple Reserve Banks and focuses on application administration, support, and development, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of systems that support the bank's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain application solutions for work order management, asset management, project/product management, and other related areas.
  • Manage application security, including user profiles and access coordination.
  • Verify the necessity of application upgrades and track application defects.
  • Provide application support and maintenance, including user training and database maintenance.
  • Communicate with business owners and IT staff regarding application updates and project management tasks.
  • Create technical documentation, including training manuals and upgrade documentation.
  • Oversee system upgrades and manage vendor relationships for service agreements.
  • Develop and implement application customizations and software updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems or equivalent.
  • 5 years of system analyst experience.
  • Understanding of AWS Platform and Operation Services.
  • General awareness of web applications and programming languages (Java and Python).
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL for query creation and automation.
  • Understanding of logging, monitoring, and alerting for web applications and cloud.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL concepts.
  • Capacity to work autonomously with quick thinking and decision-making ability.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and proficiency in systems analysis.
  • Technical writing skills and understanding of cloud software architecture.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and project/product management.
