About the position

The Systems Analyst II at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting various application solutions related to work order management, asset management, and project management. This position involves application administration, support, and maintenance, as well as inter-district communication and project management. The analyst will also engage in technical writing and application development, ensuring that systems meet the needs of all 12 Reserve Banks while adhering to compliance and security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain application solutions for work order management, asset management, project/product management, and more.
  • Administer application security, including user profiles and access management.
  • Coordinate database maintenance and generate reports.
  • Provide initial and follow-up user training sessions.
  • Negotiate professional services with vendors and maintain compliance with vendor agreements.
  • Communicate with business owners and IT staff regarding application support and upgrades.
  • Create customized training manuals and technical documentation.
  • Oversee system upgrades and design changes, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service agreements.
  • Develop and implement application customizations and software updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems or equivalent.
  • 5 years of system analyst experience.
  • Technical acumen and understanding of AWS Platform and Operation Services.
  • General awareness of web applications and programming languages (Java and Python).
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL for query creation and automation.
  • Understanding of logging, monitoring, and alerting for web applications and cloud.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL concepts.
  • Ability to work autonomously with quick decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and proficient in systems analysis.
  • Strong technical writing skills and understanding of cloud software architecture.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and project/product management.
