About the position

The System Analyst Infrastructure and Operations Lead is a senior-level managerial role responsible for overseeing the daily operations and activities of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission's TIERS Operations. This position involves establishing goals and objectives for maintaining infrastructure, security, and operations while supervising multiple teams and service providers to ensure optimal performance. The role requires a high level of technical expertise and comprehensive understanding of data center operations to support critical functions.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily operations and activities of HHSC TIERS Operations.
• Establish goals and objectives for maintaining infrastructure, security, and operations.
• Supervise multiple teams and service providers to ensure optimal performance.
• Oversee infrastructure changes and technical implementations.
• Lead, plan, and assign work for Server Support, Physical Database, and application teams.
• Assist IT manager with oversight of two Data Center Services providers.
• Work closely with Data Center Services providers and Systems Architects to develop the Technology Roadmap Plan.
• Oversee environment expansion, migrations, and modernizations for Storage/Compute/Network/Application systems.
• Conduct multiple audits annually and lead major projects for operations.
• Review and approve Operations documentation including Security Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan.
• Provide technical expertise on changes within the ecosystem and conduct root cause analysis of events.

Requirements

• 8 Years of experience overseeing Data Center services providers for compute and storage in 24/7 environments.
• 8 Years of experience establishing goals and objectives for maintaining infrastructure, security, and operations.
• 8 Years of experience with technical implementation, scheduling, assessing problems, and communicating with management.
• 8 Years of high-level technical expertise and understanding of data center operations.
• 8 Years of experience leading and assigning work for Server Support and application teams.
• 8 Years of experience assisting IT manager with oversight of Data Center Services providers.
• 8 Years of experience developing the Technology Roadmap Plan with Systems Architects.
• 8 Years of experience overseeing environment expansion, migrations, and modernizations.
• 8 Years of experience conducting audits and leading major projects for operations.
• 8 Years of experience reviewing and approving Operations documentation.
• 8 Years of experience providing technical expertise on ecosystem changes and conducting root cause analysis.
• 8 Years of experience with 24/7 on-call support.
