About the position

The Application Engineer for Building Controls at Schneider Electric is a skilled professional responsible for programming and managing building automation systems. This role involves working with various systems such as Tridium Niagara and Schneider Electric's Ecostruxure, focusing on innovation and efficiency in building automation. The engineer will collaborate with teams to ensure successful programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of systems, while also providing technical support and training to users.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure Building operation system, Siemens Building automation system or Johnson Controls systems.
  • Providing high quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Communicating clearly and concisely with customers, contractors, engineers, and fellow team members.
  • Working as part of a team responsible for programming, start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning of DDC building automation systems.
  • Configuring, programming, and customizing control systems to meet project-specific needs.
  • Creating software programs and front-end graphics.
  • Commissioning on projects.
  • Analyzing problems and resolving issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
  • Performing system diagnostics and recommending enhancements to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinating customer training and completing closeout documents.
  • Providing technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.

Requirements

  • Expertise in building automation system programming.
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure, Siemens, or Johnson Controls systems.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning DDC building automation systems.
