About the position

The Systems Architect III position involves designing and implementing systems architecture for the State of Wisconsin, focusing on SQL/PL SQL and Oracle technologies. The role requires a strong background in Windows-based applications and software development tools, as well as the ability to oversee an accounting program package used by various counties. The contractor will work closely with an internal resource for training and support.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement systems architecture for SQL/PL SQL applications.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of an accounting program package used by counties.
• Utilize Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL Developer for database management and development.
• Collaborate with internal resources for training and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and standards in software development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SQL/PL SQL.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages using Virtual Component Library (VCL).
• Experience with MS Windows 11 Enterprise and Windows Server 2015+.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows-based application target platforms and software development tools.
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS and Oracle DB Admin Tools, including Enterprise Manager.

Nice-to-haves

• Delphi programming experience using RAD Studio 2007+.
• Basic accounting knowledge to oversee the accounting program package.
