About the position

The System Architect at Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is responsible for designing and overseeing the architecture of complex systems and solutions within a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery factory. This role involves defining system requirements, creating architectural designs, and ensuring the integrity and functionality of systems throughout their lifecycle. The System Architect plays a crucial role in aligning technology strategy with business goals, ensuring that the organization's technology infrastructure meets current and future needs, and is essential for successful IT projects and overall business success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-level and low-level architectural designs for complex systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and end-users, to gather and analyze system requirements.
  • Translate system requirements into architectural solutions.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and tools for optimal technology stack selection.
  • Design scalable systems to meet growing demands and ensure optimal performance under various load conditions.
  • Implement security measures and best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure system security compliance.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, system configurations, and best practices.
  • Establish quality standards and conduct architectural reviews to ensure systems meet design specifications.
  • Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to system architecture.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, providing recommendations for improvements and optimizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, etc.).
  • Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software and hardware architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in various programming languages, database management systems, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of various models and phases of SDLC.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse, AWS, Azure, Apache Kafka, Data Management, Big Data Analytics, and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and IT architecture frameworks.
