About the position

The iPhone team is looking for a dedicated System Electrical Engineer to join their creative and dynamic engineering group. This role involves the design, implementation, and integration of various analog function blocks and subsystems, including power, audio, battery management, and sensors, for future iPhone products. The position offers a unique opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams at Apple, as well as external partners, throughout different stages of product development.

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-functional teams on systems level designs including system integration, schematic and layout reviews.
• Provide manufacturing and production test support, systems validation, and troubleshooting.
• Perform hardware prototyping and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with IC vendors through the custom silicon design cycle including design review, bring up, bench characterization, and bug tracking.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of overall experience in the industry.
• Strong analog/mixed-signal fundamentals including noise, linearity, and signal integrity in mixed-signal systems.
• Deep understanding of mixed-signal building blocks such as PMIC, speaker amplifiers, codecs, microphones, op-amps, ADCs, DACs, sensors, and chargers.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with low-power electronics, sensors, and sensor-interface circuits.
• Experience in prototyping, characterization, and debugging of mixed-signal hardware.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with both verbal and written communications.
• Experience with digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, I2S, PDM, etc.
• Experience with programming languages such as Matlab and Python.
