About the position

The System Electrical Engineer at Vertiv Corporation will work collaboratively with global engineering teams to support system-level new product development, focusing on power distribution compatibility across the product portfolio. This role involves prototype assembly, testing, and documentation preparation, ensuring quality and functionality while meeting customer needs. The engineer will manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally to achieve successful product outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration on Engineering activities throughout the System New Product Development (NPDI) process, including designing System product structures to meet the requirements of both company product development and new technologies
  • Close teamwork with global Engineering teams on IT solutions design, device selection, and production support to ensure the smooth execution of product development projects - with focus on power distribution
  • Cooperation with Global IT Solutions Offering Management to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences - Review market demand from the perspectives of technology, configuration, and cost
  • Preparation of comprehensive, project-specific system documentation, including technical specifications, design drawings, and related materials, to ensure clear communication and understanding for both internal teams and external customers
  • Physical assembly of prototypes, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and adherence to design specifications throughout the development process
  • Collaborating on validation strategies, including planning, preparation, and execution of validation series to meet and exceed system requirements, followed by results evaluation, documentation, and the definition and communication of corrective actions
  • Contribution to multiple ongoing projects and switch tasks when situation arises
  • Working with other Vertiv functional teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of New product development process (preferred)
  • Familiarity with IT systems application
  • Electrician certificate
  • Ability to work in 3D tools (advantage)
  • Advanced knowledge in MS office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time-management with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Quality-focused and results-driven approach
  • Independent and responsible work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team and willingness to integrate into an existing team
  • Good Interpersonal skills and communication skills
