About the position

The System Engineer 2/3 position at RealmOne involves supporting the full lifecycle management of enterprise-wide systems, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of critical missions for the Department of Defense (DoD). The role requires a strong background in systems engineering, particularly in security and risk management, to ensure the integrity and security of applications and networks.

Responsibilities

• Identify threats and analyze risks to mitigate operating system vulnerabilities.
• Secure applications and containers against potential threats.
• Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools for monitoring and analysis.
• Implement and monitor Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
• Work with Cisco Secure Network Analytics, Cisco Secure End Point, and Cisco Identity Services Engine.
• Write network security documentation and other systems engineering lifecycle artifacts.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in similar programs and contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework.
• Experience with secure, zero-trust network architectures.
