About the position

As a System Engineer II, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle's solutions and services. This role involves performing daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability, mentoring and supporting associates in their daily tasks, troubleshooting, managing changes, and overseeing project activities. You will also be responsible for communicating with impacted stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Your duties will include supporting the installation and maintenance of Oracle solutions, layered software, and infrastructure, as well as evaluating, updating, and improving project documentation. Additionally, you will develop and deploy automation tools to optimize daily activities and provide Tier II and other support as per service requests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle's solutions and services.
  • Perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability.
  • Mentor and support associates in daily tasks and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage changes and project activities while communicating with impacted stakeholders.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of Oracle solutions, layered software, and infrastructure.
  • Evaluate, update, and improve project documentation.
  • Develop and deploy automation tools to optimize daily activities.
  • Provide Tier II and other support per service requests.
  • Participate in System Engineering processes, aiding in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
  • Implement and maintain strategies for backup, security, and redundancy.
  • Adopt, implement, and document repeatable change processes and best practices.
  • Be on-call and available to independently monitor requests after-hours/weekends.

Requirements

  • Experience with O365 and Cloud Mail implementation and management.
  • Experience with administration and maintaining all aspects of Azure/Entra.
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Citrix).
  • Experience with monitoring systems.
  • Experience with automation software (e.g., ManageEngine).
  • Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks.
  • Familiarity with I/O technologies such as Networking (Ethernet), Storage (SAS, SATA, FC), from both a hardware and OS/driver debug perspective.
  • Excellent teamwork, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate PowerShell skills are required.
