About the position

As an EEC SI System Engineer intern at Motorola Solutions, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team that includes developmental engineers, systems engineers, system technicians, and field personnel. Your primary focus will be to understand, design, and test complex communications and information systems that meet customer requirements and adhere to schedule deadlines. This role will provide you with the opportunity to become familiar with the CCSi workflow processes and procedures, which are essential for programming and integrating equipment into a fully functional system. In your capacity as a system staging engineer, you will actively participate in the implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, testing, and auditing of systems throughout the staging process. You will be responsible for providing detailed system design drawings and documentation, as well as offering hands-on support for systems testing and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will serve as a focal point and catalyst for resolving product and system problems in complex communications and information systems. Your role will also involve developing new methods to enhance performance, ease of installation, diagnostics, quality, and cycle time of these complex systems.

Responsibilities

  • Be an active member of a team of developmental engineers, systems engineers, system technicians, and field personnel.

  • Become familiar with the CCSi workflow processes and procedures to program and integrate equipment for a fully functional system.
  • Participate actively as a system staging engineer in the implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, testing, and auditing of systems.
  • Provide detailed system design drawings/documentation and hands-on support for systems testing and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as a focal point and catalyst for the resolution of product and system problems in complex communications and information systems.
  • Develop new methods to improve performance, ease of installation, diagnostics, quality, and cycle time of complex systems.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Networking, or a related field.
  • Graduation date on or after December 2025.
