About the position

The System Engineer position at Deloitte involves providing technical leadership and support for systems engineering activities within the context of government and public services. The role focuses on analyzing user requirements, developing system specifications, and ensuring the technical integrity of deliverables. The engineer will work closely with government clients to address technical considerations and lead the design and development of system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
• Develop technical documentation, including system architecture and design documentation.
• Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
• Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
• Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
• 1+ year of experience with system requirements gathering.
• 1+ year of experience with IT troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ year of experience with Peoplesoft.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with ITSM - JIRA service desk.
• Experience with systems engineering.
