About the position

The System Engineering Program Manager role at Apple involves leading and coordinating multiple teams to drive new product development from concept to delivery. This position requires a deep understanding of hardware and software system development, enabling efficient collaboration to define system features, hardware, and schedules. The role emphasizes managing program baselines, identifying engineering risks, and communicating project statuses to both the core team and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system hardware, features, and schedule baseline.
• Manage program baseline and active investigations, system schedule, critical paths, and technical risks.
• Identify and highlight engineering risk areas and partner with engineering subject matter experts to develop mitigation paths forward.
• Clearly communicate project status, top issues, and escalations to the project core team along with senior leadership.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering required, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Proven experience in Program Management or Hardware Engineering and leading multiple teams in new product development.
• Directly led at least 2 product development cycles for a System with hardware and software integration involved.
