About the position

The System Implementation Manager at Maxim Healthcare Services is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of various IT systems within the organization. This position requires a strong foundation in product and project management, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The System Implementation Manager will directly manage, develop, and supervise the support and optimization teams that are responsible for Maxim's major applications. This role is crucial in ensuring that system implementation plans and strategies are prioritized and developed in collaboration with various stakeholders. In this role, the System Implementation Manager will lead and manage system implementation projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The manager will facilitate the adoption of new systems and products through effective implementation, support, training, and communication. Additionally, the manager will analyze business requirements and work with technical leaders to design and implement systems that meet business needs, ensuring that system designs align with organizational goals. Team leadership is a key component of this position, as the manager will be responsible for guiding and supporting a team of IT professionals. This includes managing resources based on priority, support ticket volume, and optimization feedback. The System Implementation Manager will also work closely with vendors and external partners to ensure successful system implementation, while maintaining quality assurance through rigorous testing procedures. Training and support for users on new systems will be developed and provided, along with ongoing system enhancements as needed. Documentation is another critical aspect of this role, as the manager will collaborate with the support team to develop and maintain comprehensive project and product documentation, including system specifications, implementation plans, and user manuals. Change management will also be a focus, as the manager will communicate effectively with all stakeholders about changes and updates related to system implementation. Budget management is essential, as the manager will oversee the budget for system implementation projects, monitor expenditures, and report on financial performance. Overall, the System Implementation Manager will act as a positive influence and role model within the team, contributing to team morale and success while performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage system implementation projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
  • Facilitate the adoption of new systems and products through implementation, support, training, and communication.
  • Analyze business requirements and facilitate problem solving with technical leaders to design and implement systems to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to ensure system designs are aligned with business goals.
  • Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Work with vendors and external partners to ensure successful system implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the quality of the system through rigorous testing procedures.
  • Develop and provide training to users on new systems and offer ongoing support and system enhancements as needed.
  • Work with the support team to develop and maintain comprehensive project and product documentation, including system specifications, implementation plans, and user manuals.
  • Manage the change process associated with system implementation and communicate effectively with all stakeholders about changes and updates.
  • Oversee the budget for system implementation projects and monitor expenditures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in system implementation or IT project management.
  • Strong understanding of various IT systems and technologies.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project and product management skills, with a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Product Management preferred.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully prioritize numerous responsibilities for multiple projects and provide effective and timely follow-up.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Agile Product Management preferred.
