About the position

Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia, PA is seeking a full-time Early Career System Integration & Test Engineer for Second Shift. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about innovation and are eager to contribute to the integration and testing of complex systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing test procedures and plans, implementing tests, documenting results, and maintaining solutions for both in-house developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components. This role is critical in ensuring that the systems meet customer requirements and function as intended. As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will synthesize customer contractual needs into actionable test solutions while considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints. You will establish functional and technical specifications, solve hardware/software interface issues, and ensure the integration of entire systems or subsystems. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing and deriving requirements for testability, developing comprehensive test plans, and coordinating testing activities with various programs and organizations. In addition to executing tests, you will analyze test results and prepare detailed evaluation reports that verify and validate system performance. Writing discrepancy reports and performing integration regression testing to confirm fixes to software and components will also be part of your duties. This position requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test procedures and test plans for integration and testing of components and systems.
  • Synthesize customer contractual needs into system test solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications and standards for system integration.
  • Review and derive requirements for testability and develop comprehensive test plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
  • Analyze test results and prepare evaluation reports to verify and validate system performance.
  • Write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of creating test procedures and test plans through coursework or experience.
  • Ability to obtain a US Top Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with board or box-level test planning, script creation, and test execution.
  • Experience with electronics integration and test.
  • Willingness to occasionally work alternate shifts if needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
