About the position

The System Integration/Test Engineer at PDS Defense, Inc. is responsible for planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of both in-house developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or government off-the-shelf (GOTS) components. This role involves synthesizing customer requirements into effective test solutions while ensuring adherence to technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The engineer will oversee subsystem and system testing activities, perform analysis of test results, and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports to validate system performance. The position requires close coordination with various teams and laboratories to ensure technical excellence and mission success for the Project ASAP/HAMMER advanced missile system.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain integration and testing solutions.
  • Synthesize customer requirements into system test solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications and standards for integration.
  • Review and derive requirements for testability and develop comprehensive test plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
  • Perform analysis of test results and prepare evaluation reports to verify system performance.
  • Write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing.
  • Drive technical excellence and mission success through daily interaction with program technical leads and IPTs.
  • Support program personnel to meet commitments including technical performance, schedule, and cost.
  • Interface with suppliers and assess new opportunities and technologies for operational systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field.
  • Experience with missile systems including launch systems and targeting/fire control elements.
  • Active secret clearance preferred, with willingness to consider candidates with a previously held active clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with government fuze boards.
  • Prior CAM experience.
