About the position

The Community Investment Program Manager at CommonSpirit Health is responsible for leading and managing a nationally recognized community investment program that channels financial resources to address social determinants of health. This role involves overseeing financial analysis, loan underwriting, business development, and operational excellence to promote access to essential services in low-income communities. The manager will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to refine program objectives and ensure effective fund disbursement and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Champion and orchestrate all facets of the Community Investment Program (CIP).
  • Oversee financial analysis and loan underwriting processes.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations and internal teams.
  • Lead program maintenance, payment tracking, and reporting.
  • Implement monitoring systems for timely receipt of payments from borrowers.
  • Conduct continuous reviews of the CIP portfolio and explore new community-based organizations.
  • Serve as the face of CIP through external engagements and workshops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of financial, underwriting, and/or banking experience.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles related to project budgets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Word, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial accounting and community investing.
  • Experience in KPI and service level management.
