About the position

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a System Manager of GPO Finance and Mergers-Acquisition Analytics to lead a team responsible for financial analysis within the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO). This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate receipt and distribution of administrative fees, as well as conducting regular audits of vendors and administrative fees to guarantee timely receipt. The System Manager will also be tasked with educating vendors to maintain data integrity and oversee the development of market baskets and cost impact analyses. Additionally, this position involves onboarding new facilities to the CommonSpirit roster in collaboration with Contract Administration, ensuring that appropriate contract connections are established and pricing is activated across GPOs and distribution channels. The System Manager will create a comprehensive roadmap for onboarding and divesting facilities categorized under Owned, Leased, and Managed within CommonSpirit. This role will also provide analytics upon request related to onboarding and divestiture activities. A significant aspect of this position is leading the SSRM (System Services Resource Management) to ensure that all pre-and post-M&A activities and requests are effectively coordinated across various functions, including ERP, CAM, Contracting, and Finance. Key responsibilities include collaborating with developers to build tools for accurate reporting of GPO financial activities, developing a robust audit program to maximize the capture of administrative fees, and preparing reports for acquisitions and divestiture activities. The System Manager will also work closely with Treasury and Accounting to ensure all fees are accounted for appropriately, and will be responsible for creating market basket analyses that clearly communicate cost impacts for affiliates and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team performing financial analysis for the GPO to ensure receipt and distribution of administrative fees.
  • Conduct regular audits of vendors and administrative fees to ensure timely receipt.
  • Educate vendors on data sharing to maintain data integrity.
  • Oversee the development of market baskets and cost impact analyses.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new facilities to the CommonSpirit roster in collaboration with Contract Administration.
  • Build a roadmap for onboarding and divesting facilities under Owned, Leased, and Managed categories.
  • Lead SSRM to coordinate all M&A pre-and post-work activities and requests across various functions.
  • Collaborate with Treasury and Accounting to ensure accurate accounting of all fees.
  • Develop a robust audit program to maximize capture of administrative fees.
  • Prepare reports as required for acquisitions and divestiture activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Accounting, or Finance with a minimum of 3 years leadership experience, or 5 years leadership experience in the discipline, or a Master's Degree with no experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analytics and reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of basic accounting principles.

  • MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of GPO experience preferred.
